Indiana Medical Malpractice Review Panels
An Indiana medical malpractice review panel is a panel that consists of three doctors that review the medical evidence of a medical malpractice claim. Both the patient and the healthcare provider submit evidence to the panel for its consideration. At the end of the process, medical malpractice panel will make a nonbinding decision about the case. Submitting the case to the medical review panel is required before formal litigation in a court of law can move forward.
Westland & Bennett has extensive experience representing Indiana medical malpractice victims before the review panel. While there is no required format when submitting evidence to the panel, we have developed a comprehensive approach that allows us to accurately present a compelling case for our clients. We have represented patients from Northwest Indiana, including Lake County and Porter County, as well as patients throughout the State.
